Lou’s tummy is still a little wonky, but you’d never know it from looking at him—he’s still bouncing around like his usual be-boppin’ self. Tomorrow we’re hoping the vet can give him a quick once-over just to be sure it’s nothing serious… but let’s be real, he probably shouldn’t have snacked on those mushrooms in the yard!
For a Monday, it actually wasn’t half bad. I spent most of the day playing around in Canva, putting together some fun images for my landscape designers to (hopefully!) grab their attention about outdoor tiles. When I got home, my Sephora box I ordered last week was waiting for me on the porch like a little present. Way more fun than I expected. I never get those sample bags they’re always promoting with online orders, but this time one actually showed up! It’s stuffed with all kinds of sample swatches, and I’m honestly so excited to test everything and report back.
I managed to schedule an extra day off just for me, and honestly, I desperately needed it. A whole day to regroup, reorganize, and actually rest. Yes, please. Sometimes you just need a bonus “adulting” day, especially when your weekends are already jam-packed with errands.
Case in point: today. We never grocery shop on a Monday, but since Cliff was gone all weekend, our whole routine went flying out the window. Groceries are a Sunday thing around here, so this week already feels a little upside down. The silver lining? Chinese takeout night! By the time we’re done wandering the aisles it’ll be late, so obviously that means lo mein and crab rangoons are happening!
